Our dedicated team at Moving Kids Physio provide paediatric physiotherapy intervention and therapy for babies, children and teenagers with physical disabilities, conditions and injuries.


Nicole Moffatt

Principal Senior Physiotherapist and Director

Nicole studied Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia graduating in 2010 and has 15 years of experience working in Paediatric Physiotherapy. Nicole has worked exclusively in the paediatric setting, working collaboratively with numerous allied health professionals including OT’s, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Rehabilitation Clinicians.

Nicole has a specific clinical interest in paediatric disability and believes early intervention and delivering best practice services to her clients will help achieve their goals. Nicole has spent much of her career working with children with cerebral palsy, neuromuscular conditions, genetic and chromosomal conditions such as down syndrome and children with developmental delays. Physiotherapy sessions with Nicole are always fun and tailored to your child’s needs.

Nicole is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Australian Physiotherapy Association and is dedicated to ongoing learning, and is certified in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI).

When Nicole isn’t working, she is often at the beach with her beautiful boys!

Emily Van Ruth

Senior Physiotherapist

Emily studied Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia graduating in 2013 and has worked exclusively in the Paediatric setting. Emily has a special interest in early intervention with experience with conditions such as cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, chromosomal conditions and developmental delay. Emily has extensive knowledge with complex equipment prescriptions such as seating systems, standing frames and wheelchairs. 

Emily has a wonderful sense of fun and is passionate about creating goal directed, motivating sessions that centre around your child's interests. 

Emily is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and Australian Physiotherapy Association and is dedicated to ongoing learning. Emily has completed her Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) training and is part of our DMI intensive model team. 

When Emily is not at work, she is having fun with her two energetic boys!

Gabby Oswald

Senior Physiotherapist

Gaby is a dedicated physiotherapist who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team at Moving Kids Physio. Gaby earned her Master’s in Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia. 

Her professional journey has seen her excel in both public health sectors at the Lyell McEwin hospital and the Women’s and Children’s hospital and in paediatric private practice. Gaby has a special interest in infant assessment and development and in early intervention with experience with conditions such as cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, ASD and developmental delay. 

With her infectious energy and zest for making therapy sessions enjoyable, Gaby is a joy to have on the team! 

Gaby is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and is continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development. Gaby has completed her Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) training and is part of our DMI intensive model team. 

Outside of work, Gaby enjoys spending time at the beach with her beautiful young boy and fur baby!

Laura Downer

Physiotherapist

Laura studied her Masters of Physiotherapy at Flinders University and has a passion for the Paediatric setting. Laura has a special interest in working with school aged children and is committed to providing fun and engaging sessions to all her clients. 

She infuses her sessions with boundless enthusiasm, constantly innovating to make each session engaging and enjoyable for her young clients. 

Laura is registered with both the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and actively pursues ongoing learning opportunities to enhance her practice. Laura has completed her Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) training and is part of our DMI intensive model team. 

Outside of work, Laura is a mother to two gorgeous girls!

Using evidence-based practice and experience, we are dedicated to providing your child with the best paediatric physio service. We integrate the latest research findings with practical expertise, focusing on the individual requirements of your child, to promote their overall well-being, physical function and quality of life.

Team approach

Your child may be accessing a variety of services and with your permission we will communicate and work with other allied health services to ensure a wholistic approach, as well as communication with your doctor, paediatrician, specialist, childcare centre, kindergarten or school involved with you and your child.

Ongoing continued learning

Our Paediatric Physios continue to develop their skills with ongoing training and certification programs. Moving Kids Physio offers the Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) approach as well as Gait training on our GaitKeeper Rehabilitation treadmill and LiteGait.
